JOB SUMMARY
Window Supply Company manufacture and supply uPVC windows and doors
to trade. Established in March 2019, the company has quickly become one
of the largest window and door fabricating companies in Scotland. The
head office and manufacturing facility are based in Livingston, West
Lothian with trade counters in Aberdeen, Bellshill, Dundee, Inverness, Kilmarnock, Lincoln, Livingston, Loanhead and Sheffield. The company prides itself on delivering the most advanced
and energy efficient windows in the uPVC market alongside exceptional
service. Due to ambitious and exciting growth plans, the company has
several opportunities for window and door fabricators to join the team
in Whitburn.
The main purpose of this role is to fabricate uPVC windows and doors efficiently using a variety of machinery and hand tools. You will be responsible for ensuring that the most stringent quality control standards are always maintained.
Key responsibilities to include:
- To set up and operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- To fabricate windows and doors in line with LEAN manufacturing criteria
- Complying with all relevant company health, safety and environmental policies and appropriate risk assessments
- To ensure workstations are in a safe working order and report any issues/defects immediately
- To keep tools and equipment in safe working order
- To ensure activities undertaken are completed as per agreed timescales
- To safely store materials for them to be easily located
- Maintain a clean working environment and be confident to offer suggestions for improvement

- Ability to work as part of a team but also take initiative and work independently when necessary
- Keen to learn new skills
- Flexible and reliable
The successful candidate will have previous experience working within a factory environment however knowledge of uPVC window and door fabrication (although desirable) is not essential.
