Window Supply Company sponsors Trojan Amateur Swimming Club
West Lothian based window and door manufacturers Window Supply Company (WSC) has signed up to sponsor local amateur swimming club Trojan ASC, strengthening the company’s commitment to supporting their local community.
Established in 1978, Whitburn based Trojan ASC is one of the longest running swimming clubs in West Lothian - committed to the promotion of excellence in swimming, and sporting fairness within a competitive yet supportive environment.
A number of community swimming pools have sadly been a casualty of the Covid pandemic resulting in some West Lothian based swimming clubs either dissolving or merging. Trojan ASC lost around a quarter of its 110 members and has taken until now to build back up to almost pre covid membership levels. Consequently, pool costs have since risen between 40-50%. Securing funding to offset these rising costs for parents remains a key priority for the club.
The sponsorship from WSC will contribute to the club kits including t-shirs and hoodies for their Summer Training Camp in Calella, Spain. 15 members of the Trojan ASC Gold Performance swimmers accompanied by 3 team staff will be attending the overseas camp for the first time in recent club history. The opportunity is the result of a joint venture in partnership with Dunedin Swim Team in Edinburgh, Incas Swimming Club in Inverkeithing and Dunfermline ASC.
Barry Duncan, Managing Director WSC says “We are thrilled to support Trojan ASC with the sponsorship of their club kits for their Summer training camp. The summer camp will undoubtedly be a fantastic experience for the swimmers. As a local business it’s a privilege to support the development of young talent in our community.”
Colin Matthews, Trojan ASC Club Secretary says “We are extremely grateful for the support from WSC which contributes to providing an amazing opportunity for our swimmers to attend the Summer Camp in Spain. Not only contributing to the growth and development of our swimmers but excellent preparation for the 2025/26 season ahead”
