Scotland based uPVC windows and doors manufacturer Window Supply Company (WSC) announces the launch of QR coded windows and doors, custom developed technology to save trade customers precious time and extra work.
Window Supply Company, a uPVC window and door manufacturing firm based in West Lothian, launches QR coded windows and doors underlining the company’s continuing commitment to innovation. This follows WSC named as the fastest growing manufacturing and engineering firm in Scotland’s 2023 Fast Growth 50 Index, and 5th fastest growing business overall.
As part of the manufacturing process, a unique QR code label is fitted to every window and door frame produced in the company’s 105,000 square foot manufacturing facility. By simply scanning the QR code with a mobile phone, installers gain instant access to all profile, glass, and hardware specifications. Saving trade customers time and costs by eliminating call outs for replacement parts. Consumers can also download helpful care and maintenance guides to keep new windows and doors looking great.
The QR code software was developed in collaboration with TOUCH by Business Micros, an industry first to benefit trade customers in Scotland. Business Micros Graeme Bailey says: ‘A great example of a product addition that makes a real positive difference. More customers need to adopt this approach.’
